Elliot Reiff Joins SciMar ONE’s Board of Advisors

Senior financial executive and early-stage investment expert to advise on SciMar ONE’s financial strategy and operations.

ALLENTOWN, NJ, December 2, 2021 – SciMar ONE, LLC (SciMar) welcomes to its Board of Advisors, Elliot Reiff, a veteran operations, finance, and investment executive. Reiff will serve as SciMar’s financial strategy and operations advisor, providing counsel in support of the company’s proprietary AI technology, the Scientific Data Engine™ (SDE).

An independent financial consultant, Reiff has extensive experience helping companies improve performance across a range of industries, from oil field services to SaaS software. For more than 35 years, Reiff has been a fiscal management executive in public and private sectors specializing in investment banking, valuation, structuring, capital raising services, angel and venture investing, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Reiff served as chief operating officer (COO) and chief financial officer (CFO) at Geneva Companies, the nation’s leading provider of M&A services to middle market privately owned businesses. While at Geneva, revenues increased 400 percent resulting in significant profitability and a successful exit. As supervising principal and financial and operational principal (FINOP), Reiff supervised the valuation of more than 1,000 middle market businesses per year and the execution of more than $1 billion in annual transactions.

Leveraging his early-stage business expertise, Reiff became co-founder, COO, and CFO of The Venture Alliance which developed a scoring system to assess the fundability of early-stage companies. Forbes magazine utilized the system, and it is currently in use by Pepperdine University to develop its annual list of America’s Most Fundable Companies. Reiff also served as FINOP of TVA Capital, an investment bank and affiliate of The Venture Alliance, providing advisory services and capital market access to early-stage technology and exploration companies.

“I am always on the lookout for companies, like SciMar, that have dynamic leadership, a clear vision of the market opportunity, and a defensible approach to take advantage of that opportunity,” said Reiff. “I am excited to help SciMar realize its mission of accelerating efforts that improve healthcare as a successful commercial reality. SciMar has the opportunity to become the premier purveyor of actionable information in the drug development process.”

“Elliot joining as advisor brings a significant level of confidence in our ability to execute on our vision,” says Donna Conroy, SciMar founder and CEO. “Not only does he have the financial and operational acumen, but he knows the formula for early-stage success, making him an extremely valuable guide. With Elliot’s direction, we will focus on viable transactions and strategic initiatives that support our immediate and future growth.”

Early in his career, Reiff was vice president at D.H. Troob & Company, a NYC boutique investment bank, and held executive positions with the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agencies.

Reiff earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from City College New York and two master’s degrees from the Pennsylvania State University and is FINRA registered Series 7, 63 and 24 General Securities Principal and Series 27 Financial and Operations Principal licenses.
